Great pictures! Nice looking machines too. Great fun, but nowhere to put your shopping.

I find nothing appealing about a trike, frankly- it might be fun to take a ride on something like a Can Am Spyder with two wheels at the front (though no one I know who's ridden one has been particularly impressed from a sporting perspective):

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

    You mean something like this?

Still not feeling it, but it's a lot better than those monstrosities above.

There are two old ads on BahtSold- one is 900K, and the other is 1.8mil- I don't know much about the differences between models- the cheaper one was used, and the expensive one was fully registered with a green book.

A friend told me that Thailand has put restrictions on exporting Tuk Tuks.

Don't know if its true or not ?

Really nice thread blue and great pics.

A dude I worked with had a trike, him and the wife used to go cruise all over the Joint on it. Great toy it was. They loved it.

He sold it after a few years and made money on it as they hold there value or even increase if a nice runner.

After loosing a leg in a motorbike accident a mate of mine bought a VW engine trike in the states where they are street legal and relatively cheap, Imported it to australia where they refused to register it, (they will now) He then sent it to the philippines where it took a hefty bribe to get it out of customs rode it for years and then sold it to a girly bar in olongapo where it sat on the stage as a centre piece, when that bar went out of business he bought it back , still on the road , Loads of em in the philippines, Wouldnt mind one myself but i doubt if i could get it registered in Laos

I was thinking the same thing !

you can get them that do 8 miles per hours and tear up and down the pavement, I only walk 2 or 3 mph .
In fact I look as bad or worse than this trike owner most days ...

Check out that seagull muck on the pavement next to the parking payment machine ...
they haven't got me for months now
so i think my luck is changing ,

I used to have a 1943 45 cube (750cc) Harley Servicar back in '79-'80. Didn't have to wear a helmet but still got stopped by the cops because they didn't know the laws regarding 3 wheelers.

I wrote off to the Ministry of Transport asking if was it necessary to wear either a helmet or if it had to be fitted with seatbelts. They replied 'no' to both questions.
I already knew the answers but it was nice to have an MoT headed letter to show any awkward coppers.

I have been riding solo m'bikes for 50-odd years, and when I came to Thailand 4 yrs ago, I bought myself a Honda Goldwing 1500cc Trike. (Was medically too weak in the legs to hold up a "big" solo bike). It was 2nd-hand and immaculate. Have ridden from the Bangkok area to north, west and east of Thailand. Very comfortable, very fast, and quite economical. Not a 'bike for city riding, but excellent on the open roads.
