On your marks, set, BOJO! Mayor of London Boris Johnson starts 20,000 riders off on 100-mile bike ride from capital to Surrey
Mayor Boris Johnson started the race by waving a Union Jack flag at the Olympic Park in Stratford, east London
Route runs from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, through east, central and south west London to Surrey, then back through central London to finish at The Mall
Up to 20,000 amateurs cyclists are taking part in the event which follows the route of last year's Olympic road race
Around 150 professional cyclists will race a similar route after the amateurs finish this afternoon

Last weekend I fancied a ''proper'' kebab so headed along to the Edgware Road

£7 was the cheapest option but it was real animal meat, fresh salad, lovely chilli and pide bread rather than pitta.

^ Chicken shish are real and start at about four quid - it's just the 'conventional' doner meat that's a bit dodgy.

I went for the falafel last week. They weren't without their charm, but...you know, sometimes you just need to eat processed shite.

I generally eat like that. I'm eating a semi-healthy diet at the moment. Weeknights consist of a massive salad: lettuce, radish, cucumber, peppers, spring onion, garlic, tomato, jalapenos and a drop of Paul Newman's salad dressing - which isn't a euphemism for Newman's jizz by the way. And I'll usually grill or microwave flesh to go with it.
