"Your post is too short" or whatever

My understanding is that a post must have a minimum of 5 characters.
Over the last few days I have had a number of posts that have failed to register for the above reason when the contained far more than the 5 characters.
Is thera problem?
Am i doing something wrong?

Please advise

Quotes don't count as valid characters. The poster still needs to add some content.

Understood MTD but that is not it. These would be posts with no quotes.
I just thought i would rtaise the issue as it has happened fairly regularly the last few dates but not prior to that.
It is certainly not the end of the world as far as i am concerned

It's a strange one then, as it's never happened to me in over 5,000 posts.

I do get the error message "Message not posted due to the server believing you need to get out and get a life."

I used to get it a lot when on dial up

Yes I am on dial up and it has been slow of late.

We are on one of the fastest servers money can buy, unfortuneately if your on a poxy dial up there aint nothing we can do
