    Censorship on TD?

I was twice today deleted in World News Cuba thread when placing a Guardian link to a number of Fidel Castro's assassination attempts.

Moreover, reprimanded by misskit that such does not belong to World News. Is he a moderator?

So what is the meaning of this announcement?
Robust discussion is allowed, but posters should stay on topic and refrain from personal attacks.

Some very robust discussions are allowed and some not?

That's the same as when the world history is sometimes redacted, some facts are highlighted, some suppressed?

There is a freedom of speech: you can say anything once it is how we like it...

I think your posts get deleted because you mostly post shit and don't even comment on it, let alone check to see if it's relevant.

    Get over yourself.

You need to look at the definition of news and current affairs. Emphasis on new and current. The right place for your bit of ancient history is Speakers Corner. Censorship my ass. Just post in the right place.

He obviously has difficulties with posting in the correct places.

Scarcely matters, there are only a handful of folk who bother to get involved and not that many more who can be arsed to check in except perhaps as an adjunct to some other time-killing activity.

The place is no fun and mostly populated by dull idiots.

I don't really follow world news. But I am pretty sure Castro is, like, dead.

To make it clear, it was a mere remark following a previous post:

You have mentioned 3 things that are good (soil is same as others).

You forgot to mention bigotry, being poor, needing a visa to visit a family member who lives 2 hours away, and only recently being able to have a mobile phone and travel.
So, the reason for the deletion was somewhere else, wasn't it?

Did you know that the SR-71 was integrally involved with the Castro campaign?
Feb 2, 1980 flew over Cuba ... really pissed Castro off apparently.

The mods should have a look at the constant stream of personal attacks & insults in News, instead of deleting a link to a Guardian article.

    This is TeakDoor.

A haven from the over-moderated WWW.

A bit of handbags is the price of entry.

    Constantly, all over the board?

What's this notice for then, colourful decoration?

Agreed nice ... but not practical for high speed flight
With anticipated temperatures on the aircraft’s leading edges exceeding 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit, dealing with the heat raised a host of seemingly insurmountable design and material challenges.
Titanium alloy was the only option for the airframe —providing the strength of stainless steel, a relatively light weight, and durability at the excessive temperatures.

While friction would generate incredible heat at the leading edges of the aircraft, the ambient temperature outside the cockpit window would be -60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Skunk Works’ Ben Rich spent untold hours tackling the problem of how heat could be dissipated across the entire airframe.
Then he recalled a simple lesson from one of his university courses:
Black paint both emits and absorbs heat. The aircraft was painted black, and soon earned its name: “Blackbird.”

Plus the paint was impregnated with ferrite particles that soaked up radar energy.

    We digress
