Thread: odd download triggered

Ok, so...

WIN 10, Acer Aspire, desktop
Google Chrome

(I have not tried changing browsers for this issue)

Just wondering if anyone else has had this:

As of 48 hours ago, most times that I click on a thread title (not a room) a download is initiated.

It doesn't appear that it (the dwnld) will ever come to fruition, (whatever it is) and now I'm canceling it well before it could finish anyway.

It also happens when I post. It initiates a download, yet still posts for me even though the page remains the same and it doesn't appear that it has posted. <breathes in> When I refresh, it's posted.

Odd behavior.

I've not downloaded, changed settings nor installed anything at all in weeks.

It just activated when I clicked 'post' that time.

It's called: showthread(1).php

I think I had something similar happen a couple of years ago. I can't remember how it went away but it did go away eventually.

I dunno...

mild annoyance but easily adapted to.

If I click on a particular thread (directly) from the homepage: it's 100% to go to dwnld. mode.
