Not allowed to edit posts

Is there some reason why I am not allowed to edit my posts. It also says I may not post attachments.

Nobody can post attachments. As far as editing your posts, are you trying to edit in the Dog House? Nobody can edit posts there.

and I think there is a time limit on being able to edit posts elsewhere. Not sure how long though.

^There is...if you don't edit it within X minutes, you can't go back and edit it say an hour later.
