    Will a"suggestion" get me canned ?

    On another forum I subscribe to, I made a suggestion ,on the FOR SALE forum, that OP's put their location in the title in order to save someone in the south of Thailand from opening a thread from someone in Chang Mai (or visa versa) selling an electric toaster .Even at a saving of 3/4 hundred Baht you're really not gonna bother are you?
    Anyway this was the first post I've ever had deleted, and also without a PM to explain what I might have done wrong.
    I really didn't think it was such A big issue so I just thought I'd test the water here before I jumped in and cracked someone on the head.
    Also there is no prize for guessing what other Forum I'm talking about.

    I agree with you that the location should be included in adverts but TD has very few rules so it is up the the poster to be sensible and give all the information.

    My experience of selling things in Thailand tells me different.

    Some of fokin farangs in Thailand are the tightest bunch of bastards i have come across. Numerous time i hear the sob story and desperate haggling over a thousand baht or whatever.
    I think some of those bastards who have contacted me would walk to Songkhla from Nong khai to save a few poxy baht.

    I think someone who doesn't post their location does not deserve to be taken seriously. On the same note as helicopter I always laugh when a farang put's up a house for rent. They'll always ask for 20k/month when it's worth 5-10k.
