Fishing Park; baan rai chay nam

This place is near my land and the owners of this place just bought 3Rai of land that adjoins my land, it seems they are going to make a second fishing park, obviously one needs to know whom his neighbours maybe.

The place is actually really nice and they have put a lot of dosh into it, here is a pic I took this afternoon so is fresh off the printing press so to speak.

The entrance area has a nice water feature and I might add there was also covered parking.

Next up we have the owners house as we enter the grounds, now he aint doing too bad is he.

The pathway to the hunting grounds is done quite nicely, although with them being thai they didn't seem to worry that their garden was over run by ants, then again the issan gals love eating this type of thing so maybe they were breeding them.

Obviously we went there to eat and drink beer, well I drunk the beer cos my son is too young to drink beer but I made up for that, the menu is only thai food and french food, here is a picture of the french food page.

I have noticed that a lot of Issan gals like French food aswell, God knows how the French influenced the gals into eating frogs and that but it seems to have worked.

I of course went for a more traditional dish, the old larb moo, yep dead pig bits with mint, red onions and rectum burning chilli peppers, I have to admit I didn't eat most of this as it had fat and gristle in it and us Brits do not eat fat and gristle.

My son went for the Tom Yam Krung yet again, but they left the legs on so the galfriend had to pull them off, us males don't do that sort of thing, actually my son has eaten that dish for the past few years every time we go out, so now it is time for him to change, next time he comes out with us he will be banned from ordering that, I really cant understand why he likes it so much, I mean it's not like it's a chicken madras or something.

Anyway the place looks like quite a nice retreat if you want to get away from everybody, the service was good, it must have been good cos my galfriend tipped them aswell, maybe she fancied the waiter the bitch, hmmm he was some spotty teenager with a bad case of acne, you can never tell with these gals can you, dreams of having sex 10 times per day as opposed to the usual once per month, I shall question her about this later, and maybe beat her up a bit, gals love that

Anyway here is a picture of the guest houses around the fishing lake.

I have to admit I didn't see anyone catch a fish, but I assume the fish here are big beasties that are real smart and you got to be a bit clever about catching them, or maybe ther weren't no fish in there so you didn't even have the hassle of haveing to worry about catching a fish, I remember one time going to darkest Issan with some whore, the village was so small it had a number and not a name, it was foking awful, they followed me everywhere, it was like living in a zoo, so I went fishing for the whole day just to get away from them, yes I know I didn't have any bait and that, but it was quite nice, and there is nothing wrong with a bit of casting practise although it does get boring when you know that fish don't bite on empty hooks, but hell it was better than being the local zoo specimen, of course that evening I got the bus back to civilization, although sitting on a plastic stool in the aisle of the bus was pretty uncomfortable, ever since then thoughts of going to Issan have never entered my head, well apart from the occasional nightmare that is.

Here is a nice picture of the fishermen places that didn't catch any fish.

What the fcuk is a 'Pangasianodon'? Sounds like a dinosaur, my wife read the Thai and thought it might be a very big fish but she didn't know what type.

One can see the "net mark" (just forward of the dorsal fin...it even has its guts compressed below it) on the first one (bloody been sitting in the net for atleast 6hrs that one), but the second one looks like it was hooked in the mouth!

had a name change now ban ing num not baan raychay nam, and new owners now. 2nd time there not as good as first, found they were trying to add things to my bill that i didnt have. wont be going back.
staff were polite, good english speaker guy called max.
hard to get too and from, owner gives a "free" lift then end of week asked for 1000 baht for the trouble.
pity as it is a beautiful place. new houses being built all down the side. 2.9-7.9 mil thb.
seems a bit steap when i looked about
