It is place for banter , fun, just a couple of dozen old duffers in various states of decay plus prematurely decrepit Armstrong+Lulu who like hanging out with oldies and Lovely Katie23 and Mskit who are doing an awareness training course on how to recognize penile dementia. That's it 30 active posters.

I think the grammarians may notice like camp activity its tense.
Currently we have this thing called load shedding (electricity rationing, currently we get about 5 hours a day, but it’s been as low as 2 hours a day and some days none at all). I had the odd blackout in other countries but blackouts everyday is something else. Fortunately, if you have a few pennies you can add generators and solar panels and inverters batteries to cope. But many folk do not. No refrigerators for food, fresh bread supplies can run low. Ice near impossible to get. I haven’t used the oven for 6 months. many businesses struggling or closing.
But my moan is that we have solar power switched to the bore hole pump so we always have water. But the pressure varies. Solar = low pressure, city electric supply equals full pressure. The (first world) problem here is using the hand bidet I installed. One day your happy washing your backside with mild pressure the next just about given myself an enema with the bun gun.
I see you got Mendips gardeners African cousin to do the tiling. A good deal from guptas discount tiles.
Great presentation, did it taste as good, I am making Italian tonight, love it but not a diet for slimming as I enjoy the EEVO and parmesan , bread pasta, grilled fish etc, and no Italian meal should lack some vino.
It tasted good, and yes there was italian wine supplied as well.
The soil here is fertile. We’ve a load of fruit bearing trees and a stocked veggie garden, and it looks like mango season is starting as the gardener left us a container of fruit on our back step this afternoon.

Funny how just a few minutes impacts one's commute. Same around here in California ( and probably just about anywhere). There are windows where you are in front of the next wave and the commute is a breeze.
Nice scenic commute. I always like the tree covered roads.
Nice thread Red Willy, I look forward to more!
Cyrille needs a pool like that to cool off
The ongoing drought and associated power cuts known as load shedding mean everyone needs alternative sources of power: solar, inverter batteries, and generators are common. Of course a genset makes a little noise, but one needs it to run the washing machine or oven.

of course one will normally install a generator somewhere on the back nine so the quality of the wall is not really a concern.
Here in the west people whine about the power bill. But at least the power stays on
My God I've lived in countries where the power goes off might come back in a week might come back in a month..and when it does. Bang a big surge fucks up all yer appliances. Great to have a genset on standby for such occasions.
Once you go Goat, you'll never go broke. Great advice from Toppers dad.
Yup, that's an issue too.
Yup, we didnt have it before and it was a nightmare, the solar panels and inverter are great but not enough to power the washing machine, so clothes would be stuck in there for days, it didnt much bother me but 'er indoors was well pissed off. And you know what they say, 'happy wife, happy life' - the opposite is also true, unhappy wife = lots of pain and suffering for the rest of the family.
it also can run the ACs when we need them too, which the solar cannot.
Regardless of cash cost how many liters would you need to run AC for a day.
many years ago there were cuts occasionally here , v rare now usually building work by council in Office hours but no public warning.
Was thinking of solar but payback longer than my life expectancy but a small diesel generator might be good back up.
Would you or other suggest the capacity for 3 people 2 fridges 2 Air con units 3 showers 3 tvs etc, Lighting over 230sq metres and few usaulkitchen appliances
Air Fryer Crock Pot Oven Stove, Microwave kettle espresso thingy and of course laptops.
Can it be safely located 30m from house in an outbuilding /shed to limit sound?
We can Bury the wire in the gardens?
