its africa joe. what do you expect.
The steps should start in the shallow end not the deep end.
Maybe the hired help have some more digging to do.
I genuinely don't think the design of this pool has been thought out, it's just been a case of give Somchai/Guntakinti a shovel and let him get on with it with 5 supervisors.

It's reassuring to know you've not gone native
Sorry, I forgot that you needed smilies to indicate tone, much like your buddy, cryille
^ Nice looking soil - I could really do with a load of soil like that for the garden. It's so difficult to get decent topsoil in Korat.
Can I ask why they don't put in a few corner pieces and divert that pipework suspended across the shallow end? It would surely make life easier.
They will eventually push it aside when concreting. The top soil is good, the bottom picture shows our vegetable garden in the background that provides food year around. Currently we have basil, carrots, tomatoes, lettuce and spinach growing. Literally only need to put seeds into the ground.
excellent, I hadn't thought of that.
I had a friend on Merseyside who used his for internal organs and ended up with a LiverPool, sorry that Offal , I'll get my coat.............................
Thanks for interesting good quality and making the effort many of your D tractors haven't posted a picture let alone a thread, like Mendy MM and Looper , always interesting to see places Iused go with fist hand experienceb but have never visited Southern Africa. Green owed.
As for slower progress , if all manual as the lads go deeper more effort to raise the earth into the increasingly higher spoil pile, a factor that doesn't matter with a JCB back hoe.

Oh well, ok. Pointed conceded. It’s possible I work for a small, private boarding school as the custodian (which explains the electric fences and large grounds), and that said private boarding school is installing a very small swimming pool for the students’ use. Which does not necessarily mean there’s anything wrong with this thread, I can still document a swimming pool build. It’s just a matter of who owns it and who’s paying.
Sympl is just jealous, although with the slope his place is on he'd struggle to keep his topped up if he built one.
You'll be well topped up all Sunday again no doubt, numpt.
No update today as the cheeky buggers didn't turn up to do any work. I hope this is not a sign of things to come...
No worries you won't end up in a hole in a hole like many here, when the rains come you'll be able to dress dogs up in football shirts swimming lenghts with the pond life and watch pajama gals stroking. It could just be "Copperknob" memorial week.
