So, I opened this thread for the first time today - ended up reading the whole thread (beats working I suppose). Absolutely fascinating. Not so much the actual pool build, but the seething, teeth hurting jealously expressed by several posters.

KW has a huge compound, and money to build a pool. If you think he is renting you are fucking delusional. He is clearly successful and well paid, and that hits many of you in the gut. You all live the lives you chose, but many of you made really, really bad choices.

He's working as part of (or head of) boarding accommodation staff at a school.

And kidding on that he's living some sort of well-heeled lifestyle.

I used to teach at a boarding school, and I reckon I can picture fairly well how working on the boarding staff in Africa would go.

Free accommodation and food (and security) with the boarders, plus pocket money.

nidhogg can picture it about as well as I can picture a westerner working in a hospital context in Bangkok, which is not that well at all.

Anyone who thinks he's got a lucrative job living on his own huge compound is, well, part of willy's dream audience.
