^^^ She lives literally 200 metres from our house.

I can see her from my office, sweeping up outside her shop in the mornings, through my binoculars in the winter when there's no leaves on the trees.

Only a fool would think of anything more than sharing our mutual passion of rescuing street dogs.

The key is clearly to avoid the European airlines.

    Turkish are decent, mind.

Yes, but in general I dislike the additional transfer for all the ME airlines, be it Turkish, Qatar, Emirates. The waiting, queues and checkpoints at airports are worse for me than the actual flights. Once I'm on the long haul I prefer to get off at Bangkok.

The big problem with Turkish s the size of the new Istanbul airport and the miles you have to walk.

But they also have metal cutlery.

I think having a good workout in the gym is perfectly legal in the same way that binoculars and birdwatching go hand in hand.

Still. That's more than the family's aircon bill will be for November. Just hope he remembered to bring back the remotes.

I've only flown with Thai twice and that was to Madrid and back.

I wasn't overly impressed, but that was 15 years ago, so they'd probably be amazing now compared to everything else!

I flew Saudia last year (or, sorry, Chitty did ) and they were really good if you can handle no beer for the entire journey. Good entertainment, lots of legroom in cattle class and non-stop food.

I'd fly them again and they seem to be pushing Jeddah (and Riyadh) as a bit of a hub for Asia.

Where TF did that come from?

I only take the remotes in the hot season.

I do feel a little guilty, but let's face it, a 2 Baht tip is more than many northerners would give.

Just to tell you, that Mendip was just about spot on.

You might have the extremely strong danish currency confused with swedish or norwegian kroner and Ýrer, which would have had made his tip even funnier.
