Ryanair passengers fuming as ‘flight lands in Greece not Spain.

The couple had been due to fly to Spain for a holiday – and ended up in Zakynthos, Greece
A couple have slammed Ryanair after being flown to the wrong country, refused an apology, and left out of pocket.
The budget airline has even blamed the pair for the entire incident, which saw them end up in Greece instead of Spain, reports The Mirror.
The couple were able to board and depart on the flight that they were never meant to be on which has led to questions around airport security at Stansted.
Humaira and Farooq Shaikh were due to travel to the Spanish city of Seville on October 4 this year for a holiday together.
They turned up at the airport, checked in, going through pre-flight checks at the boarding gate and again once they were on the plane – including their boarding passes being checked.
But the plane was not going to Spain, but instead to Zakynthos, Greece – 1,200 miles away.

Ryanair Passengers Fuming As 'flight Lands In Greece Not Spain. — Greek City Times

    "
The couple got off the plane still believing they were in Spain, left the airport and got into a taxi .
It was only then that they realized what had happened
    . "

" Our phones were saying ‘Welcome to Greece’ and then our taxi driver said ‘this isn’t Spain,’ Humaira explained."

To which Humaira replied " Are you sure?"

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

    Immigration?

Easy enough to queue for the wrong place, but that’s why you rely on staff to check your boarding passes and seats onto a plane. That’s the big problem here: how did a flight allow two extra passengers without noticing prior to takeoff

Didn't they have any luggage checked in on the Spain bound plane ?

Just because you are a shit carrier from Ireland, you should be able to figure out that something ain't right

Clearly the passengers should be offered a free onward to Spain. The thing is that errors will occasionally occur with anything. I see no big deal here. It seems these days that people are really into drama and for some reason the Co-Vid seems to have made things worse in that regard. It seems these two could have played their cards differently and turned this story into a happy one. I kinda get the feeling that these two may have been rude arses. Just speculating of course.
A true diplomat is a person who can tell you to go to hell in such a manner that you will be asking for directions.

    Crete expectations.

Reember some lucky and not so lucky passengers got a free Minsky moment

Does kinda make all tose passports bisas checks seem a bit Mickey Mouse if they do not actually identify who is on board, while for teh flying public getting airside takes a while not so hard for crew etc if a determined suicide bummer who takes a enial job airside does teh switheroo my lass used to work on airport my Aunt an International airport and me at Doha.

I tested security having pre announced to the CSO at both Auckland and Tokiy since 2001 and both found wanting was able to appear behind the cordon n both. While during the rebuilding phase at Queen Alia could have got an elephant as far as teh age and certainly almost anything from ground side to airside, El AL won't tolerate this shit but for non chosen people 3-4 hour thorough security check in.

After flight 426 way back in'68 when a free holiday inCuba just needed a walk to say Take me to Cuba , next tme Mossad security plugged one and arrested all teh others.

Of course Shin Bet did a fine hijack of bloody Austrain war criminal Eichmann in Buenos Aires by snuggling past the dopey dagos as a drunk pilot to stand trial. Some say not all Austrians were nazi sympathzers I married into Leonding lot knee deep in Eichmann's, Shickellgrubers and Haidlers ,where the Fuhrer himseef hoped to rest in peace instead my ex lies in the churchyard by his parents. So there. Shicklegruber you faux cisgender schmiel wubba has the last larf. I used to make an annual pilgrimage to piss on the grave, since removed, not far form the field of the battle of Ebelsberg known to the Froggies as Almay like the stock photo fingaprintas. Like better known Wagram and Austerlitz a nasty bloody affair with gents on horses seeing whose footsoldiers could be butchered n the best fashion

The old dears in white hosen to confirm their sympathies right up into the 90s

Bottom line who'd want to ransom a load of Ryanair chavs, Micky O'Laery would donate them teh plane a puibc stunt the khvnt
