I've never been but of course met many in my years in the sandpit and as you say seem solid guys.
Aside from the faction fighting and understandable plight of foreign nationals they will need a lot of cash skills ad help to rebuild and immediatly medicines generators and staff for overwhelmed medical services.

I am insufficiently appraised to have a clue as to who may the good or less good guys but seems Prizhorghin Russian mafias are meddling . It's huge landmass obviously with mineral potential and red Sea access so I imagine Russia China EU Saudis and the UK and USA will have a ""dog" in the fight.

Be interested in BLD's analysis and anyone else whose actually been there.I think Jeddah or Cairo probably closest I've been

Where i was working was quite close to the egyptian border and it was possible to take a ferry over to egypt if you already had an egyptian visa, if all this shit had of gone done while i was there then perhaps i would of had to flee to egypt which would of been difficult as my passport was in khartoum, probably would of had to hope like fuck that Dal mining would get me and the tanzanians the fuck out, likewise the indonesians and 1 lao bloke on the other site. They struggled to organize water and fuel to drill so im guessing we would of been well and truly up a ducks ass
