Visa for Spain

I need to get a Schengen Visa for my Thai wife ,all the Internet seems to say is that VFS no longer handle it and there seems little else info

Has anyone recently had to do one and where do I go and what's the procedure

If she is entering the zone directly into Spain the Spanish Embassy is correct. If transiting somewhere else in the Zone that Embassy has to process it.
