Airport security worker caught nicking cash from passengers' wallets

Nice link
These stories get a lot of media attention when they happen with the American TSA too, but with thousands of employees there will always be some bad ones. Good this one was caught.
I always put my wallet inside a locked carryon bag before I get to the security line. Just popping it into an unlocked carryon invites trouble. For carryons I use locks that are not TSA-approved (because every airport worker has a set of keys to fit TSA locks).
Still you got to watch the watchers like a hawk, no matter what country you are in.

I always put my wallet inside a live goat because I know no airport worker will try and retrieve it
Somebody clearly thinks the police are on the airport's payroll. But discussing the airport’s vetting policy, she said: “Every employee fills out a form and they have to put down basically every address where they have lived in their lives.
“We then send it to the gardai because we do not have the means to do that ourselves . We rely on the gardai to check for criminal records. The form is then sent back to us.”
Never ever carry a wallet, keep the notes in my left trouser pocket, coins in the right. Going through security I just toss the coins in the tray, paper money stays where it always is.
Very foolish assumption.Originally Posted by baldrick

Just shows what a useless money making scam these CRB checks are for the governments ,, didnt pick up that skanks previous .
...and this is relevant to Thailand, how?
I guess you missed the bit where it says that this was in the non asia travel forum.
I had this happen once inside when they used to do the checks near the gates - and one of the scanning women pointed out that there was a post office close by , so I was just able to post it home for 35 bahtOriginally Posted by Rigger
No surprise, Heathrow is still known as 'Thief row.'
