Theirs is the only work in Thailand where a Farang can obtain a work permit on less than ThB 50,000 per month.
Teflers are consequently interested in cheap beer, cheap accommodation, cheap clothes, cheap food, cheap entertainment, and cheap travel.....in addition to cheap women.

Ah your sister clearly isn't a TEFLer then. For TEFLers ThB 199 is way too much for a pair of shoes and a restaurant charging more than ThB 100 for a meal is expensive.
I am acutely aware that prices here are very reasonable compared with Europe and the US and I'm pleased to learn your sister enjoyed her holiday here.

Still in the bars, still shagging, and still going on about his big house and big car.

Who uses the insult most? Sex-Pats, the Retired? or Ex-Pats who have more gainful employment in real industries? The Ex-Pats who throw it about, well they are probably just fishing / trolling as they are in the best position of all.
So in answer, those teachers who use it as a way to keep themselves here and on the piss are scum, worse than those who fuck teenagers / early 20's girls and ruin their outlook on life and the accumulation of wealth?
