so the general opinion is , meal names are time names. as i understand it, break-fast , the meal u eat upon waking and break the fast, the only time named meal. dinner, a substantial meal, two/three veg, meat, potatoe, gravy. can be eaten mid day or evening, based on lifestyle. tea, high and low, low tea, a cup of tea, plus light snack, ie biscuit cake, sandwich. high tea, more substantial, can take on the relms of a buffet, if a sit down meal, served on a normal dinning table.tea is invariably served in the late afternoon, followed by a snooze. supper, a light meal often the left overs from the day, traditionally cheese in uk. all to be consumed with vast amounts of tea. no paracetamol, a family crisis, i'll put the kettle on, we've just been bombed out, mother put the kettle on, your pregnant with a black child, mother put the kettle on. etc.
So if I read this correctly, in the UK, traditionally the leftovers from the day are cheese.Quote:

And to drink tea, that thin, disgusting cup of slightly discoloured warm water in the morning is just downright sick.
Absolutely agree.Quote:
