    Oh. Forgot to add.
    Nokair started their sale today.
Not as good as AirAsia, but worth a look.

I am a big fan of Air Asia but boy do you have to plan ahead, and be careful of on unforeseen possibilities. You book now but the travel period is 6 Feb till 20 June 2012.

I booked ahead two years ago and got round trip free for 4 to Bali, came back and booked it again for 10,000 round trip for 4 people total.

But then my kids won a scholarship to the Harrow school and it runs on the western term. The dates dont match by a week. I am trying to negotiate to change the times by only adding the 750 baht change charge each way.

If they dont do it you will see a 4 tickets to Bail for sale sign here. I still am a big fan of Air Asia and have yet to have a problem or delay yet.

A couple of years ago, I got a round trip to Brisbane booked for 14,500 return, but the knobend at the consulate there couldn't tell me if he was going to be open or not, so I cancelled.

How did you do on getting your money back? When the wifes mom died while we were on Phuket they were very nice about changing the tickets with the change charge of course.

Just dont want a beer or a drink unless its international. Even then no, only to OZ and the UK I think. You really do get what you pay for.

Fek me. AirAsia like to whack you with all kinds of 'extras' don't they? The only one I couldn't avoid (apart from the taxes) was an extra 96b for the privilege of using a credit card.

    Wankers

bummer. I sent them a request to find out how much to change my tickets. I keep getting back a confirmation of my itinerary. Silly but only can keep trying. Now I am googling Tony Fernandez's email address. Might as well start at the top.

Thanks neo, as they are twins the best we could get is 50% off for each kid and thats a big savings. But the costs in reality are still over the moon. But its a done deal. Luckily they start grade 10 next year, so two years, then on to the 6th form and two more years. Being a yank I really dont have a clue as to how the whole deal works. But meetings with Heads of Houses, tutors, counsellors, and the director of studies have been lined up for next week.

Thanks for posting this. I like Nok and have to fly down to Phuket next month. The price is considerably less if I fly a week later than originally planned.

No specials Roiet/BKK on Nok Air. 4,300 baht return. Demand must be too high for discounts.

Probably by bus but you wouldn't want to do it.

I understand the train ride is well worth it for the views.

3rd class train is probably the cheapest. Did it once when everything else was booked solid. Not for the feint hearted. I thought killing a bottle of Mekong on route would ease the pain. It didn't.
Coach trip is also a bit of a killer but when you're young you can take it. If you can't afford to fly better to break the journey somewhere.

If you sign up as a member you can change your ticket on line for a fee.

Can not change the destination but only the date.

Ive saved thousands of dollars flying Air Asia and collect tickets that come out on special. If i cant make it I throw the ticket in the bin or change the flight date.

Tossers that pay nothing for the ticket but then complain about a meal, drinks or whatever are delusional and need a good kicking.

Its all good dudes but get a grip follow there rules and fly for piss all.

If you cant do that just go book a full fare airline and then wallow in your happiness of receiving a free meal and a few drinks.
