    Cost for cigarettes.

    Hey guys,
No urgency but just wondering how much a carton of smokes costs (marlboro light or similar) when leaving from Thailand duty free?
I have given uo 6 months ago and have been sneaking a few here and there from my old neighbour (only the last week or so) and i told her i would buy a pack so i dont have to keep taking from her, you kow, as you do.
She said maybe you could buy me a carton when you come back from Thailand and maybe Lek and her mum can too.
I told her that someone was bound to know how much a carton costs when you come out from Thailand.
Anyone can help, no urgency but would be handy to know.
    Thats all.
    Thanks in advance.

    Huh?
That's more expensive than buying them from a regular shop. Should be about 500/550.

I must be brain dead to have posted something so ridiculous, a hard day at work and I've got another cold.

Of course it is 550 baht.

    Sorry fellas.

By the way Marlboro is 78 Baht per pack in the local shops.

I stopped smoking for 4 years and had some stress at work and home and like a weak prick started again for 4 months. I have stopped again for 6 weeks and litterally had 8 smokes coz i have been counting them, only when i drink at night time, but still feel bad to scunge from the old bird, so happy to buy a carton.

for some reason, the airport do not sell marlboro at all, so if they are the ones you def want, then buy a carton from 7-11

Thanks for your kind words Doc.
In 6 weeks i have legitimately had 8 smokes and have no desire to start again full time.
As an obvious non smoker you ought to see the ad's they have running at the moment. they say if you break it try again. It is so easy for non smokers to sit back and look.
I so want to knock it on the head but fuk its hard.
    Not for you obviously.
Like i said, i stopped for 4 years previously.

I am not gong to slag you coz you are a long time poster here,
But you seem to know everything about the world and about addictions and are up to date with everything in human life and are free of any addiction and live your life totaly moral and void of that of a normal person it appears.
So i am sorry for posting here and being vastly different from you.

By the way i did stop 4 years ago before the missus arrived and can verify that.

I stopped for 4 years and then started again coz i had a lot of stress at work and home, only 4 months ago and then stopped 4 months ago.
So i stopped for 4 years, had stress, smoked for 4 months and stopped again now for 6 weeks in which time i have had 8 cigarrettes.
Calling me and addict, you are missinformed. big time. but thanks for your thoughts.

I used to get my cartons of Sai Fon from Carrefour years ago. I think I saved about 20baht. Had to ask for them at the counter where you pick up the free stuff from certain items purchased and where you leave your bags and stuff.

I quit for five years. Tonight marks the five year point, 21 May 2011. Stop having a drag or a cigarette now and then. The secret to quiting is to make up your mind to never again take a drag, not even one drag. Yes it is hard to do but well worth it. I want a cigarette right now but I refuse to do it. Good Luck.

Just try to ignore this fool. (Calls himself DrAndy, deranged andy)
And don't worry about his being (albeit questionably) a longtime poster.
If you can't ignore him, slag him hard.
    He's used to it.
He does not know "his dong from his dollar."

    You're right too.
I did tempt fate unfortunately and did have one here and there if i was on a night out and wouldnt even think about it the next day, but only in the last 6 to 8 months or so of the four years. But then i hit a shitty time in my life and it was all too easy to have a cigarette, but worst thing was i had it in the day time.
Then i was stuffed, mind you i havent had another one since my post.
