They'd have to engage intelligently and come up with some counterclaims.
Doing this would acknowledge they'd consider these "facts' worthy of consideration, thus giving it more attention than it deserves.

On the other hand, I have no doubt that trafficking and sexslavery exist, and it cannot exist without co-operation from officials, same as the other scams which are run.

I remember a story ran on Fox news around August this year about that Yank who (falsely) claimed to killing that kid. The female reporter alleged that there was a bar in Washington Square (she even named the bar and there is no such place) which was famous for having children as young as 5 or 6 selling themselves in it. I nearly died laughing.

A friend told me he was embarassed after his first trip home when relatives asked him about "the girls of Thailand."

The second time he went back if they asked them about Thai women he would blithely tell them he sometimes had more than two a day, if the whimsy so struck him. That shut them up!
