I received a letter once asking for payment for repairs to a shared water main. I didn't think that I was liable and I took the letter along to the Citizens Advice Bureau. The man there asked me to sit down and then proceeded to read out the letter to me very loudly and very slowly. He then handed it back to me and showed me to the door.....Honestly, you couldn't have made it up.
