same here mate, spa set to 33 degrees drinking a very nice MAKERS MARK OR 10 and a friend turned up with a very naughty girl and a case of TIGER a bloody nice end of the day, i,m glad the hagover was yesterday
Ive had my Bro's and their mates over again tonight, the Stinker home seems to be chosen crash house this Christmas.
Nice guys the lot of them and I love them all to bits but they can have it, they're still going strong down stairs but I need my sack, I left the burd in charge and I'll deal with the aftermath in the morning.
For the Christmas Day, I spent the whole day with my family. We went to the supermarket for preparing the Christmas dinner together. It was so pleasure to have such kind of day.
I went to Trader Vics at the Marriot on the river. Ate too much and ended up sleeping it off between 4 and 6, when a mate came round for turkey sandwiches (one of our Thai neighbours sent us a 5kg cooked turkey, I'm having for turkey sandwiches this evening after having had some nice ones for lunch.....)
It was OK, after the terrible lead up to Christmas where all previous plans were cancelled, and the fact that my sone was ill and actually slept through most of Dinner and has since been diagnosed with bronchitis as has my wife.
Sadly I'm well and have to work all week.....
You would think that for one day, just one day. But no. The same at our staff Christmas party, we got a turkey this year, I made stuffing and mash, the progressive Thai teachers made neat things like the cheese stuffed baked potatoes, one made a blueberry cheese cake. But nope the dummies have to have the same shit as well. Yam Talay with 5,000 chiles, some kanom jim made its way in there as well along with the rice noodles and some other curries they had bought off the street the night before, as not a one can cook.Quote:

In reality it was a great experience. Hopefully to be learned from.
I banned any Rice, yellow skinned Cantonese style chicken or chickens feet this year.
We had copious amounts of roast chicken, roast spuds, British beer, Aussie red wine and all sorts of other goodies. It was quite a fun day.
Welcome to Christmas at Cujos.
There was plenty to eat but not enough room for a sit down dinner

Went for a walk up the back later in the arvo. Nearly broke my leg coming back down.
May have been something to do with the vodka shots.

Nice pics Dug, for me personally Christmas is bollocks in Thailand, or even in the UK if it's raining which it normally is. The only reason this trip has been worthwhile is because of the snow, and it's my first family Christmas in over a decade and it was still not as good as it was when I was a kid - which is what it's all about really, if you have kids then you can enjoy it from their perspective and relive that magic wherever you are in the world.
You got that right Scampy.
