Hi, this the John Galt. In reality "Stickman silences Stickman". I started my site because Stickman was getting out of control and he tried to bash a friend's company in his column. He did this unfairly. I started 10 weeks ago with gentle pressure against him and he scoffed at me continuously throughout that entire time. Stickman feels pretty invincible. He's become cocky over the years. He practically gloats over his ability to scare people into HIV Test kits and bar girls investigations. SOME of his advertisers are clearly questionable (unregulated illegal businesses give rise to greatest profits to those businesses and therefore the greatest ad revenues). Stick is clearly not interested in the best information for his readership. I have not done anything illegal. I have only posted reflective information from Stickman's own site (and those pictures which are already on the web). Perhaps Stickman should be held accountable for his own crass remarks about his workplace and co-workers. Stickman has done quite a bit to upset other people. These other people are lining up to "put the nails in Stick's coffin" so to speak. I'm only the funneling point for the information and please be assured I make best efforts to determine if the information seems reasonable and correct before I write about it. Dear Mr Stick. If you want to keep your web site off-line - I'll not raise the issues any further. However, if you continue to think you are above the law working inside an illegal business in Thailand, I will turn over all the information that has come to me to several Thai news agencies in Bangkok. Given the current climate of recent coup, the sweeping emphasis on Visa changes, and the recent news feast of John Karr, I don't think you'll do very well. Don't you care about the people who submit articles to your site? Are you going to bring possible trouble to them as well by holding a large meeting of the writers this month? Take a vacation from the web business, keep Stickmanbangkok.com off-line and I think you'll be continuing on with your English teaching without incident. The alternatives may end up being up to the Thai authorities. Oh, and by the way WhoseYourDaddy -- people have had a few unkind words about you as well.

As for posting non sticks name it was only because of someone else posting the link to it and so figured I was doing people a favour by them not having to serarch through mango sauces long winded responses.
As for not posting sticks name thats because I don't know it. I don't know what school he works for and have never seen his picture. If I did know it I still wouldnt post it unless someone else went first with a link.
No sides here - as I do not know the two men in questions therefore I don't understand the history between the two.

from what I have been reading, it appears that Stick did a not too favorable review of a couple of businesses that were owned by "friends" of Galt. Galt's site appears to be Galt's response to this, as he argues that his "friend's" businesses lost money due to Stick's review.
I have no idea if this is true. Even if it is, if Stick's review was honest and accurate, then....
The only thing that has me scratching my head is the fact that it appears Galt has only been in LoS since 2001. 5 years may seem like an age, but I have lived here much longer than that and I certainly would not want to be involved in something that could involve Thai authorities. Actually, it may be the case that the less time you spend here the more willing you are to get involved in this sort of thing.
Thanks William, but how terrible it is that someone reviewing a business or service and comes up with a negative, should be treated like this.

either way, given the number of problems we, as foreigners, face on a day-to-day basis here in Thailand, why oh why do we insist on bashing one and other so much - and appear to enjoy doing it!
