    Farang 1 Thai robber 0

Just had a right good giggle and just wanted to share.
My mate had a seminar down soi 33 way on Sunday and after the boring talk, hotel lunch and an expensive beer paid for by work he decided to wander down the road.
Anyways, walking down the Phrong Phom (spelling?) area some motorbike dude tried doing a drive-by bag snatching. Mistake 1!
Mistake two was not to drive away quickly 'cos my mate got hold of him and exchanged fisty-cuffs. After the 5th punch to the face the Thai dude quickly realised it was a one horse race and tried to mount his trustry 125cc steed and ride off into the Sukhumvit sunset.
Mistake 3 was leaving the keys in the ignition. My mate (best pal in the whole wide world) had enough savvy to get the keys and through them down the drain!
The Thai nimrod clicked his brain into gear and was last seen doing a Linford Christie down the road in the direction of Sunrise Tacos.
The BIB rocked up and grabbed hold of the ex-Thai robbers bike and proceeded to take it down the local pound.
Well the tale of the tape looks like this.................Thai robber-Down 30k(ish) baht for a bike. Farang-A few cheap shots and a lifetime full of satisfaction!.
    Get in there my son.................

Grerat story mate and I had a giggle reading it.

Just tell your mate to be careful walking around that area on his own for a while.

He may be a marked man by these thieving cvnts.

It crossed my mind that he may have nicked the bike too, but just put that down to watching too much Bodie and Doyle.

It also crossed my mind that the Thai robber may have been a bit touched with the daffy stick for getting off the bike in the first place - I thought the key to a drive by snatch and grab was to not stop and exchange pleasantries, ah well.

I don't think it's a good idea to mix it up with street criminal types, you never know if they have some friends and knives and stuff.

Just an update of the story to clear a few things up.
It was by soi 31 on Sunday at around 4pm. The motocy driver tried to snatch the bag on a slow drive-by but my mate wasn't having any of it and pulled the bag back twice as strong which resulted in the robber dude coming off his bike which went a few feet down the road on its own before toppling over.
After the bashing and the keys down the drain episode the Thai dude scarpered and the BIB rocked up. Me pal didn't want to pursue matters further 'cos he was already late for the pub and he doesn't hold the police in high regard but told the BIB take his bike (which they did).
Asked why he didn't do the right thing and just give up the bag my mate said "natural instinct" and admitted it was foolish to fight back due to lax gun/knife laws here.
Do you wanna know the exact contents of his bag?
A bit of paper from the seminar and a 25 baht Gatorade energy drink!

Nah. A few orange vests gathered round whilst the robber got a hiding. They saw the incident happen and were more than happy to see a free fight from a short distance away.
Remember. This was in broad daylight in the center of town. Be careful guys and girls.
