That's a hell of a lot of money for a half a day of modeling. I don't think the top daras make that much. Something sounds fishy.

How easy it is to make friends....even when you are not trying. :spin:
Apologies to moderator for being off topic....:frog:
Nothing fishy at all...... EN merely needs to transfer them 25,000 baht 'portfolio and agency fees' in advance.....
But yeah, does sound like a lot of bollocks. An ex colleague of mine did a fair amount of this part time and 15-20K was the absolute tops for ad work, unless you were a celebrity of course. Cant imagine rates have risen much in the last five years.
Sounds a bit high pay wise noodles, my mates son gets around 10k baht perday, he's early 20's half English and half Thai.
^Yeh, but is he as good looking as me?
I think you know the answer to this one mate...
I wonder which ad agency Preparation H and Anusol use? Maybe I could get a modelling job for them.
He looks like the succesfull guy in most Thai adverts, although he is most likely that guy doing his modelling work, come on noodles be realistic, pics of some coal dust covered northerner are not worth that sort of money, bet they send you a nice portfolio fee before you can start your new career :)Quote:

Nice ferret noodles, did you breed with him yourself?
sorry, breed him yourself :)
In the sport of ferret legging, competitors tie their trousers at the ankles before placing two ferrets inside and securely fastening their belts to prevent the ferrets from escaping.[2]
Each competitor then stands in front of the judges for as long as he can.[8] Competitors cannot be drunk or drugged, nor can the ferrets be sedated.[9] In addition, competitors are not allowed underwear beneath their trousers,[10][11][12] which must allow the ferrets free access from one leg to the other,[5] and the ferrets must have a full set of teeth that must not have been filed or otherwise blunted.[9]
The winner is the person who lasts the longest.[13][14]
The sport is said to involve very little "native skill",[5] simply an ability to "have your tool bitten and not care".[15]
The current world champion, Reg Mellor, is credited with instituting the practice of wearing white trousers in ferret legging matches, to better display the blood from the wounds caused by the animals.[15]
Competitors can attempt, from outside their trousers, to dislodge the ferrets, but as the animals can maintain a strong hold for long periods, their removal can be difficult.[2]
The ferrets are occasionally put inside the contestants' shirts in addition to their trousers.[16]
An attempt to introduce a female version of the sport—ferret busting, in which female contestants introduced ferrets down their blouses—proved unsuccessful.[17]
Perfect sport for them :)Quote:

Go for it Noodles. I got asked to do some modeling as well, as the "farang guy". I declined.
Be careful of image rights. If they have a contract for you to sign, make sure you scrutinise it thoroughly. A lot of these things promise the world but fail to deliver....
180K was the first offer and that's what you're gonna take? What's the going rate for this stuff?
Go for it mate but see if you can also arrange an annual fee on top and in liew of the adveristement being a long term success.
Maybe negotiate an up front fee of 100,000 Baht with another payment of 100k to be paid annually covering 5 years secured by a proper contract.
That shows them that you are confident with their campaign and are in it for the long haul.
Good luck mate.
I wonder if it is like those before and after ads they do like on cosmetic surgery, are you before or after noodles :)
I think you should do it Noodles, we wont take the piss....much
