6 weeks, I was wrong on that, it was March 20 to May 1.

    Wiki

The 2003 invasion of Iraq (March 20 May 1, 2003), was the start of the conflict known as the Iraq War or Operation Iraqi Freedom in which a combined force of troops from the United States, alongside the United Kingdom, and smaller contingents from Australia and Poland invaded Iraq and toppled the regime of Saddam Hussein in 21 days of major combat operations.

While estimates on the number of casualties during the invasion in Iraq vary widely, the majority of deaths and injuries have occurred after U.S. President Bush declared the end of major combat operations.

Geert Wilders is one of the heroes of the anti-Islam movement. Of course, he is being called "racist" and other names which do not describe the man's beliefs or goals.

I looked at that list, and there isn't one single link to where they got it from, including reuters.

The argument that the West invaded more countries than Muslims did is rather mindless, fit only for a mind that can accept religion. Unthinking. I'd argue that it is incapable of thinking. A microsecond of thought will pop up the simple fact that it is not because of a lack of intention/ambition/dreams but simply because of inferior development of weapons and skill.

What a total crock of shit. Goes well with arguing that religion, especially islam, is 'good', peaceful and makes sense.

Without links, that is entirely possible. They also could not be exposing the circumstances of the stories to suit their own Islamaphobic agenda.

A good friend of mine is from Yala. He is a muslim, as well as one of the very few Thais I can trust. He's also never tried to convert me to Islam or chastised me for being an infidel. I quite often drink a few beers with the guy. Have you ever even met a Muslim?

they want the same fucking thing in the south as all muslims do all over the world, whether it is Russia and Chechnya or Isreal and gaza or any other place where muslims live.

They are the biggest hypocrites in the world too. They all watch porn, smoke and drink, they just do it when nobody is watching.

And just why is US and UK sooooo supportive of Saudi Arabia, one of the worse violators and the home turf for most of the 9-11 gang ?

Not really. many on here claim Islam is a threat to their way of life but in fact western countries (mainly the USA) are the greatest threat to that.

The 9/11 attacks were in response to US aid to Israel who used the weapons to attack the Palestinians. The London bombs were a reply to the invasion of Iraq and atrocities in other Muslim countries.
Now while I don't have any support for murdering some poor bastard out shopping I maintain these were misguided attempts at stopping foreign intervention in Muslim affairs.

These attacks were then used by the governments in question to restrict the rights and freedoms of their own people regardless of race, creed or colour as we saw with press photographers and train spotters being arrested.

I won't give any argument that the extremist need killing off but they are a nothing threat compared with the US and UK governments.
Be happy dudes. It's a lot more fun than crying.

NO they would not, if Islam fell off the face of the earth you would not need to have your shoes scanned at aiports, you could carry liquids and nail clippers on a plane, the Patriot act would be abolished, the world would save roughly a trillion dollars on security, the US could downsize its military, Geert Wilders could fire his body guards, Danish cartoonists would have a right to free speech, ect ect ect.

People like you give the US shit for not having diplomatic means of dealing with countries like Iraq, yet you also give them shit for HAVING diplomatic relations with a middle eastern country like Saudi Arabia.

There was not ONE British or American boot on Middle Eastern ground before the 9/11 attacks. Wait til they murder one of your family members and maybe you will have a diferent opinion.

I guess you've never heard of the Gulf War then?

The presence of troops in his native country of Saudi Arabia is exactly what started Osama bin Laden on his holy war.

    A quote from 5 years before 9/11.

"Muslims burn with anger at America. For its own good, America should leave Saudi Arabia. ... There is no more important duty than pushing the American enemy out of the holy land. ... The presence of the USA Crusader military forces on land, sea and air of the states of the Islamic Gulf is the greatest danger threatening the largest oil reserve in the world. The existence of these forces in the area will provoke the people of the country and induces aggression on their religion, feelings and prides and pushes them to take up armed struggle against the invaders occupying the land. ... Due to the imbalance of power between our armed forces and the enemy forces, a suitable means of fighting must be adopted, i.e. using fast-moving, light forces that work under complete secrecy. In other words, to initiate a guerrilla war, where the sons of the nation, and not the military forces, take part in it."

Errr..... money. Coupled with the fact that the House of Saud actively courts (i.e. buys) up-and-coming Western politicians with promises of lucrative lecture tours, grants, directorships etc. when they are eventually kicked out of office. Research the activities and some of the beneficiaries of the King Faisal Foundation - though you won't find much information regarding its murkier dealings available on the web.
