Question Should Americans be allowed to live overseas?

Being that Americas only contribution to the world is the infectious malady of greed and stupidity, in a 'perfect' world do you think they should be 'contained' within their own boarders???

I don't know why I am surprised that they have the audacity to set foot in Japan, let alone live there.

When you think about it, all the best things from America have actually been Canadian, like The Simpsons for example, or Celine Dion.

I have always found Merkins to be a pain in the arse to listen to or talk to, actually there's one who I used to avoid on a regular basis in Mueng Thong Thani who really wants to be my friend and keeps phoning me and calling me 'dude' and asking me if I want to 'hang out sometime' and I have received a complaint from the Philippines that he is asking my ex girlfriend to be friends also, via Facebook - so I deleted him.

I also know another Seppo who's company I do actually admit to enjoying, providing it is in small doses and he is not in the company of any other Yanks. Then there's the geniuses on here such as Daffy Duck who seems quite proud to be a complete imbecile.

Being that America is only 300 years old, it is the country equivalent of a toddler wondering around crying and breaking things and soiling it's nappies, oh sorry - I mean 'daipers.'

And you think talking with you at Timbas was a treat for me?

It was like an opera singer warming up -

    me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me ,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me

I was torn about who to bottle - you or Bangkok Andrew - both POMS.

    Here you go 'was'.

Anyway, BBK Andrew would get my vote for his expert slagging off of everyone's partners at the dinner table. We all know what Thais are like, but don't need to hear it when out in pleasant company (and Scampy ).

Seriously though, if you were American you'd have to have some serious nerve to walk around a supermarket in Hiroshima or Nagasaki with a camcorder saying how 'cool' Japan is, smiling at people and speaking the language, like this twat here look.

    Best solution:

This message is hidden because The Gentleman Scamp is on your ignore list.
So far, I have never been proven wrong about Scampy having ZERO worthwhile contributions.

I know this is provocative, but is it not a valid comment?

Good God, a friggin' Brit talking about others acting stupidly abroad- that's like a midget calling someone 'shorty'.

Stickman managed to sum it up nicely:

Why are there so many Brits in Bangkok who are America / American haters? It really gets on my nerves. I was out one night this week with an American friend and we bumped into a British friend who is otherwise a decent enough sort. Once my British (friend) realised that I was with (an) American he started to rant and rave and go on and on and on about America and Americans, showing a complete lack of class, complete lack of social skills and no sense of decorum. This is not the first time it has happened and it often makes me reluctant to introduce one Bangkok friend to another - irrespective of nationality. This does seem to be a Thailand expat thing - we know that there are a lot of odd people here - but you know what, I never hear the Americans scoffing off at the Brits.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I saw one just the same from India (you know the nation of wags who were caned if they didn't crawl on the ground) except the English bloke was a pisshead, naturally.

So in your naive idealism you think this kid in the video should have to atone for things that occured 65 years ago? Camel Toe is right, you should study your own history.

That's cause you are jealous and envious of us, nothing to be ashamed about, most nations are.

Not at all, and it's nice that the US and Japan are friends, I was just saying that personally, I would not feel 100% comfortable strolling around Japan as an American, it just seems a tad cheeky.
