Lampard goal wasn't a goal, video proof

Here's the latest video evidence that the Lampard goal wasn't a goal at all but a trick of the camera angles.

Yes, and after FIFA refused to even consider goal-line technology after a meeting in March have suddenly decided to reconsider!

Wouldn't have made a difference in the end result though. Both teams saw the replay at half-time. Germans had two choices, kick the ball into their own net at kick-off and win on penalties or win decisively.

They opted for the latter unsurprisingly!

    Looks like Argentina then.

I think that referee did the England players and the English fans a big favour, the shame from the Hun's trashing would have been unbearable if it was not for the lame "if if if if" excuse you have been handed on a silver-platter, now you can hold your heads high for the next 4 years with that flimsy neck-brace, "you never know what might have happened ect ect ect."

Why did the chicken cross the road?

According to FIFA officials it didn't cross the road.

I thought the video was serious for a while.
Just goes to show how much an Aussie knows about soccer.

Lets assume or agree it was a goal, now, how would hawkeye have helped when play didn't stop ? The game continued, so would we have waited for a deadball situation ? what do we do if either team had scored another goal before play stopped, would the subsequent goal count ?

Or do we allow the 5th referee to stop the game ?

I suggest snipers are placed in key locations around the ground ready to take out the offending officials.
When these offiicials are droped this would signal an error and that a goal had indeed been scored.
I also suggest that all officials must be French so as not to offend anyone
    It wasn't me!

We need the same as the Rugby , in a dispute go to video and stop play until a decision is forth coming.

any game that allows betting should be fully umpired with the technology available.

like cricket - the captain of the teams should have the right to question umpiring decisions. which can then go to an umpire(s) who have access to slow motion video recordings.

and pansies who take dives should be kicked in the nads by every member of the opposing team
If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

Agree, video playback now takes less time than many of the player protests that the ref has to deal with.
With so much money being spent and betted on the sport it's amazing that it's not a required by law to stop the open coruption that's creeping in.

Agree, especialy with the gonad kicking.

Football is fast becoming the new WWF of comedy sports with all of it's theatricall players/actors rolling around feining injury while their team mates whip up a frenzy waving the
imaginary card in the refs face.

In fairness to the TV coverage in the UK and any of the England fans in my pub, nobody has used the non-goal as an excuse for anything. I have yet to meet anyone who is not of the opinion that Germany won fair and square.
