    Flush . . . or not.

It's school holidays and I'm working from home to keep the girls company . . .

The littlest one has been munching on bananas since about 8am and finished off five of them . . . what a good girl.

I have heard her flush the toilet a few times, but as she is four she can go to the toilet all by herself. After the latest flush I had a grim thought . . .

"Umm, where did you put all the banana skins?"

    "In the toilet, papa"

Indeed, the toilet is blocked now.

My little'un can do the toilet thing himself and he's not quite 3. Has a few problem putting his shorts back on if he's just had a dump though.

It's not just kids. When I was 16, my paternal grandfather lived with us for a while. Sadly he suffered from senile dementia, which manifested itself in various ways. We had to retrieve many things from the toilet during that period, including keys and his false teeth. The worst part was that he'd invariably have urinated in the toilet, too, and we couldn't flush for risk of losing said items. Retrieval was never a fun job...
