    Typhoon

I read today that there is a tail end of a typhoon due on Monday. It should pass over Vietnam on Sunday and into Thailand.

BKK is set for serious flooding.

Last year it fucked up my garden for a week.

    It will be me next.

Do you think I'll be safe in the 7th floor?

Hmmm... on it may be better.

BTW, your spices were sent at the crack of dawn this morning.

Great link, thanks. My usual source:

    Joint Typhoon Warning Center

Is inexplicably unavailable. Maybe because the US cut off military aid (US$24 billion) to Thailand?

    Your link works fine.
Looks like it's going further south than first predicted. If it crosses the Gulf of Thailand, it may pick up strength again. Not good for the South.

Very unlikely, it is moving towards central Vietnam. The few typhoons that make it into the GUT all arrived further south in the Philipines, if my memory serves me right (did a typhoon training course a few years back as part of my offshore job in the ........ whaling industry )
Any error in tact, fact or spelling is purely due to transmissional errors...

Hope you're right. They usually curl away from the equator and head north-west.

Odd, still can't get it. Must be a MaxNet thing: Cannot find server.

It looks like it will track right over southern Isaan.

Wow, this is shades of Saipan where it seems like I was tracking typhoons weekly during the rainy season....

It's petering out, so it will just be a light shower by the time it gets near Bangkok.
