    Learned or Genetically Programmed?

I was wondering if it was an inherent trait, genetics or a learning process.

I have discovered an amazing phenomena -

Human eyesight in the dark is not very good, it is even worse after being in a lit up room.

I was wondering if I have been genetically programmed or have simply learned by repetition, as to finding the bottle opener in the dark.

This is no word of a lie, and is probably eligible for a University grant.

How I can go down two flights of stairs, after driniking 5 or 6 bottles of Chang, in pitch blackness, and a) locate the fridge - OK That one is not too difficult, it is quite big.

But B) how is it I can lay my hands on the bottle opener without looking?

It worries me sometimes, I cant get the key into the lock, I can't remember to switch the car engine off, but, like Paul Daniels, I can locate the Tin opener/ Cum Bottle opener without a fumble.

And slightly off topic, if anyone wants a good laugh tonight, go and download "Hot Fuzz" and if you want a really fast download site - try Torrentday.com - it is brilliant! (but you have to share or you will get the arse!)

I reckon the Shit is about to hit the fan tonight!

I think it is the day of reckoning tonight with the red shirts and the army - I'd put an each way bet on the army splitting and giving that [at][at][at][at] Abhisit a run for his money - looks like the police gave him the one finger salute last night - I heard they are transporting troops from Khon Khaen - by train!!! should arrive in a week or two!

I think the can opener cum bottle opener is what the light sabre was to Luke Skywalker.
Maybe you are "using the force" without even knowing it?

Dunno, but if things go according to the usual Miggins plan it will turn into another of his bilious anti semitic rants sooner or later.

Finding one bottle opener out of several hundred scattered around, no more than a hands length apart is a sure fire winner.

Mine is a magnet on the fridge door, Helen Keller herself would have no probelm cracking a new beer in my house.

Edit: Despite the fact that she is dead, of course.

    3 words Miggs.

    Habitual learned behaviour.

Do the same thing over and over again for months (years?). Carry on and you won't need your eyes soon, save you reading that shocking stuff about the world!

It is about the everyday things in life that sometimes amuse people, nothing special, just the daft things that sometimes pop up in your head now and again...but after about 8 posts you still didn't get it, then forget it!
