    ^I love Autumn down under

Summer is a bit too hot an sweaty for me

This was just after sunset on Monday. Photographic proof of God's existence. Those beams you can see are actually God shining his benevolent power over the huddled masses of his meek and faithful flock

    Post a photo a week, of anything/anywhere-img_20210510_192859-jpg

And this was dawn on Tuesday just after an epic overnight lightning storm had soaked the forest

Where do you live? North Queensland? Are you allowed to give that tree a serious trim? It ruins the view.

I got quite lucky doing that trimming.

I was near the top of the ladder and using my pole saw which is a tiny little baby lithium ion chainsaw on the end of a 2 metre pole

Anyway when the branch came down it was much bigger than I realised and it folded in towards the tree before snapping off and then falling towards me and missing me by inches.

I think I may have used up 2 or 3 of my 9 lives for 2021 that day

That's beautiful, ph. How cold does it get in your winter? Probably not near as cold as we get.

^^^Nice pics, Looper. Reminds me of my time in Northern Queensland.

Nowhere near that. There are large differences in temperature as it's a chain of north-south stretching islands and south means cold.
Here we can get freezing temps but not very often . . . it is, however, very common for it to be grey, rainy windy . . . ugh.

I saw some of those when I snorkelled in the great barrier reef. Big funny looking lips.

Knew it as a Maori Wrasse, apparently also called a double-headed parrot-fish, among other names.

Quite an odd name for a fish that is quite decidedly single-headed, even to an untrained ichthyologist.

Well, her sister had some gnashers, that's for sure.

I once met a lovely looking girl in Phuket... Indian/Thai mix I believe and she had the most perfectly straight, glisteningly white set of teeth you've ever seen. It was the main thing that attracted me, to be honest.

Anyway, those teeth were also razor sharp and I still remember the panic of leaving that hotel room in the morning... in the cold light of day it looked like someone had slaughtered a pig on that bed.

Memories... I wonder where she is now?
