Fear not, Looper. We've got your back. Who'll get your model aeroplanes though if we do have to make the call to the emergency services on suspicion of you sleeping with da possums?

This probably deserves its own thread, to be fair.

I wouldn't be surprised to find all manner of things in there: more bras, more possums, maybe even a few bags of peas.

Indeed. Remember that recent Thai story when three men died trying to fix a well?

    Looper: Any updates?

^^That's beautiful. My good friend sent pics from Puheke Beach near Kaitaia..not sure if that's in the North or South of NZ?

I'd say its been a green Christmas, but then got a dump of snow a few days ago. Still the few outdoor rinks in Ottawa were open.

Parliament Hill all pretty for Christmas

I went skating at one of the few outdoor rinks open.

Got a few feet of snow, just a few days ago.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas all things considered.

^^^^^ back to loopers tank diving expedition - top notch preparations - probably a bit chilly - I'd have a quart of whiskey before going in - it'll keep you warm...

Good call but it is quite well ventilated since a massive hole got smashed in the roof by a falling branch

Normally it would be 30s warm in that tank in January as it is black PVC and sits in the sun all day

But La Nina has made it cloudy so the water is 20s cool - but not cold enough for a polar bear

One of Thailand's finest. Pissed as a fart and on the beer. Nice guy. Have known him for 15 years. His rank is Sgt Major and he earns 39+ thousand Baht's per month. Bribes, tea money etc not included. Anyways after leaving my house he went back to the station to sleep off the booze. Time being 11:30 am. The bottom picture
is where he ended up on the floor confirming he needed to sober up.

Mate, I was just poking some fun as I know you don't over-bite.

As an aside, I'm cool with the LadyBoy thing. I don't see them as men because, in their hearts, they aren't.

Not men, but they are LadyBoys and it must be incredibly hard to be born into the wrong gender.

I know the popular moral stance is that they are men, but I say live and let live.

My old phone was better at lunar pics when shoved up to me telescope's eyepiece.

    Awesome stuff !

    Camera/phone used ?
    Telescope used ?

Are they a matched pair (designed for each other) or separate items masterfully interfaced?

I'm sort of keen to get the Boys to look towards the heavens as they grow older.
