My dog. Born in HK where I rescued him from dog pound death row, then lived in Thailand, and now out in the garden seeing snow for the very first time.

I had a hunch you were already back in the West, Sid.

    Shit isn't it.

Moved over in late november. One of the most horrific cold and frankly at times scary experiences in my life over winter. Shoveling coal like a stoker (70 euros a week worth) please a load on heating oil. Now it's getting better. I might step outside next month. However, I must be liking it because I rejected a job back in HK eariler this week that was offering me stupid amounts of money for not really much work. In fact, a year ago it would have been my dream job. However.... I quite like it. For now.

When was the last time you fortunate fuckers Siamese-side were treated to this kind of scene?

"What's that, Daddy?", queried the curious little Slappettes, pointing out of the train window.

"That's England", replied a weary Mr Slap going back to his newspaper. "It's cold, dark and expensive".

That's a green curry chicken, it cost about 14,000 won which is about 400 baht or so. It came with pineapple, when the chef came to ask me how the food was I mentioned it was of the fusion variety...

Here's a random shot of the menu:

Quite nice place, nice people (half Thai chef, Korean waitress/owner); the wife's food tastes considerable better to my palette, but she's currently in LoS.

Is that a Thai mouse trap or a fancy desert left in the kitchen?

A Thai mouse trap made to look like a treacle tart. In the middle of the trap is a piece of pork. 30 baht for two traps.
