^Right o, was using the thread title, didn't check the original rules from 1987
Anyway, won't offend again but think we'll leave that picture up there as a reminder of East Timor and the misery there.
Why? I doubt most of us give a fuck.Originally Posted by Albert Shagnastier

Spring's arrived....
^Oh beautiful! I can't wait to see the grass again...These were taken a few days ago while on a walk. It was the warmest day yet this winter...at 0 C.
Still quite a bit of snow here.. for this time of year it is a lot.
One of the burrowing owls I saw along the trail I use to cycle to the shops:
Nice one.
^^looks good Robuzo. Can you post it a bit bigger?
having a quiet sunday beer at the sidewalk cafe watching the sights
not a bad sight!
Spent a long week-end at Taman Negara in Pahang - the national park in the state of Pahang . . . loads of pictures and just one doesn't do it justice.
Simply an amazing park, stayed at the Mutiara Taman Negara Resort . . . and finally saw a tapir after several vsits - no pics, though - fleeting at best, sadly
Looks great, I assume it was hot and sticky?
When walking in the rainforest itself it wasn't that hot because the sun is filtered by the canopy - the canopy-walk, however, did add the heat . . . the rest of our time we spent on/in or near the rivers - wonderfully cool waters, real waterfalls etc . . .Originally Posted by kingwilly
Oh, and no price differential between locals and foreigners. Malaysia Boleh!
Our boat and driver - there's another guy in the front with a pole to guide and push through the shallows (no rain in a month - hence we have water rationing in KL as well)
This river is called the 'Black River', though it is the clearest water you can imagine - the name is derived from the black stones which give the water the impression of being black. There are several pools one can swim - simply wonderful.
I'm having a little trouble find a way to choose sizes in Google Plus. Maybe I need to switch back to Flckr. Let me try here with a shot of two. These are iPhone4 snapshots so even though I was able to get fairly close the quality isn't great.
Interesting to me how much nature is available for viewing in what is essentially the middle of Boca Raton, Florida. Amazing bird life (will also post a shot of a pair of ducks- or geese- I have seen a lot of but can't identify), and a great variety of reptiles, from iguanas and curly-tail lizards to snakes, turtles (water turtles and gopher tortoises), and even the occasional alligator.
Let me try again with the close-up:
