Oh Daddy, I want a tailing damn. And I want it now!
Sorry, fish humor.
On for our American cousins,
HNY from the UK. ..
Cafes ... seen three-four per year open locally, and three-four months about their average lifespan, leaving the two that were here when we moved here 2011 with their steady business of local regulars
Two have opened last month, both as "eco-cafes" one on a salt farm, the other has buffalo and a few rai of rice as its point of difference. And a caged iguana, waiting to hear about the first child losing his/her fingers, they've gone for a wide mesh on the cage

The wife and I went to Wat Phra That Khao Noi in Nan yesterday morning to watch the first sunrise of the year. Lovely 17 degrees made more pleasant by a Thermos of coffee and some Thai donuts. The first photo is on its side unfortunately but shows Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and the moon in the first 45 degrees of the east sky. Mercury is faint but just above the low cloud on the horizon. Taking in the sunrise at the Wat is quite a thing in Nan and I was expecting a crowd but in the end there were only about fifty people there. Everyone was quiet and enjoying the beauty of the event. Loudest noise was the roosters in the yards below.
Just about caught my nutter of a dog jumping to catch a tree branch...
Priceless
My baby Lucy...
Spoiled rotten she is.
Just dropped off woody at the parents for 5 weeks for our annual Thailand trip. I think he likes it better there than at home but he will miss the morning sun.

Saying Fok it, and going to Burger King.
Release your Inner Katie.
As contrived as the pics are, probably better suited to the "Thais Pointing" thread.
Magkantot dito
it was minus fourteen in bumfcuk turkey this morning - the car refused to start as I believe the diesel jelly was disagreeable
^Are you and Mandaloopy in competition for worst job location?
^We're having a very warm winter, thank you.
Every weekday a BBQ stand sets up opposite our house in Nan. Setup at 2:30pm, starts grilling at 3:00pm and continues on till sold out, usually between 6-7:00pm. The cooking smells used to be mildly pleasant, now I find it nauseating and today is the worst, a south west wind is blowing the smoke straight to our house. Doors and windows were closed perhaps a little late. Please, please may our new house be finished this month...
Our, eastern, side of the Gulf and minimal impact from cyclone Pabuk last week
