Hot damness Nev. Did I ever say you were good?
You're a Rembrandt.
Well Impressed.
(There's a "Pom" at the start completely hiding in the shirt wrinkle.)
Back says: "Jeff's a knut."
No
It says, "Pom ben mongkud krap." A nic I picked up in the PTT ambo society,
another lifetime ago.
Lu's kool - easy to hang with, like (i imagine) the majority of us here are...
with a few exceptions.
It kinda sucked tho as he's younger, fitter and more handsome.
*sigh*
A note on the clothes:
He'd ridden his city bike into town thru the big smoke.
Best keep the superior duds laundered and ready for another persuasion.
Fuck off Jeff.
Oh, sum pix:
That's the twunt who wouldn't take the payoff nor return a wai properly.
To bad you guys couldn't make it inside. I went to check it out years ago with a buddy and chickened out.
We stayed at the State Tower a few years ago and our balcony had a great view of the place. Every night there were people up on top. I guess they put it on the web and that's why the owners tightened it up.
Here are a few picture I took of the "explorers"
The view at sunset was super. The crowd of tosser trying to get to the roof top bar not so much.
I was told an interesting tidbit by someone who owns a big property right besides Sathorn Unique.
Apparently after the financial crisis of '97 when this building was abandoned there were numerous attempts to buy out the investors at cost. No one agreed to sell and at least on paper no one lost any money. To this day people are HODLING and waiting for a huge payout.
Just so you know why Bangkok real estate never goes down. These people have balls of steel.
Dunno about that, it's just how Thais approach property.
And when you're wealthy you can afford to hold, of course.
Agree. It's very evident in Hatyai where the wealthy landowners just sit and wait. I see every day properties that have had for sale signs up for years. Asking ridiculous prices and the sites remain unsold. I've mentioned anecdotes before where landlords will increase the rent, tenant moves out, and landlord is quite happy to have the place vacant for year upon year rather than accept a lower rent from a tenant.
One day I hope to meet someone who can explain the rationale. There may be something in it, but I can't see it from a pure economics POV.
Deep pockets ? Or just stubborn ?
There's a vacant lot in our neighbourhood.
There's a sign on the gate with the price (9 million baht) and the owner's mobile number on it.
We went and talked to the owner and he said he bought it for 3 million, and one day somebody will call and offer him nine. If not then it just goes to his kids. Either way, no problem. Nothing to maintain, nothing to steal.
It kind of suits a common Thai outlook on life.
I think they extend that to property too, where admittedly it makes less sense.
