Today I went the annual rocket firing in a nearby village. This is the launch pad for the 150mm diameter rockets.

^like a Space Shuttle launch tower! How were the rockets?
I went to the rocket-firing festival in Sa Kaeo last year, some dodgy creations yet everyone left alive and with their hands still attached to their arms.
^Yesterday for the first time I saw, what can only be described as, a flying wheel. It spun horizontally and flew vertical. It wasn't launched from a pad and was really imposing. One actually blew up about 25 meters up and the remnants demolished a tree near the spectators. I'm unsure as to whether anyone was injured. No rockets blew up on launch this year, so looks like their skills are improving.
^ gf says people lose hands/or die most years 'when rockets go bad'. Her b-in-law won the local competition - a whole 500 baht prize!
and back on the farm, ploughing in preparation for cassava planting (now complete) last week in sth Sa Kaeo province

After over 1500 replies, the retard still can't work out that its for photos you've taken yourself.
The Manc Chav Scum, Farang Red, is also retarded in this way. What is it with Northern Monkeys? Too much coal for breakfast that turns them into imbeciles?
^ Maybe the danes actually do have a point.
Anyway, taken at the begining of the month (May 1st if I remember correctly), pretty crap photo as it was taken through the window of a car - however, this is a picture of the grape vines in one of the major wine growing areas in central France - I look forward to their harvest reaching a glass near me in the forth coming years.....

Here's a shot I took in northern Thailand in 2010 and then saw the same group in Phuket about 3 months later. Yes, they walked there.

A farmers lorry in Isaan. These are never stopped by the police and checked. A complete menace on the road. Some have no light at all and the driver will wear a head lamp at night, sometimes.

^ the only option would be to order them off the road; nothing to check in terms of legality or roadworthiness. Seen some shockers in Sa Kaeo too.
any more to add? see https://teakdoor.com/motoring-in-thai...ml#post1781585
Since I have enjoyed viewing this thread, I thought I would add some more. Here is a day with the hillbilly.
First, to maintain my manly shape it is time for the workout. And yes, I took the picture.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...9/DSC_5289.jpg
After my heart-pounding daily workout it was time to say good morning to the daughter.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...9/DSC_5468.jpg
I then decided to take a motorcycle ride around and visit the new 'mooban' next to ours.
Still under construction with many Burmese workers present.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...9/DSC_5526.jpg
This boss on the construction site comes over to me and goes nuts. He starts to yell that it is dangerous and I can not shoot photos. I started to argue but seeing as how this is the second time that they have kicked me out, I left...
Here he is waiting for replacements to help him out. I shot this from the hip as he kept telling me to stop.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...9/DSC_5538.jpg
Before leaving, I did manage to get a 'Thai knickers' shot.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...9/DSC_5528.jpg
Now time to go cruising throughout the village and see what I could capture.
This Thai motorcylist on his Yamaha dirt bike had just recieved a trophy.

Since the Thailand elections are just around the corner the politician teams are out in force.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...9/DSC_5552.jpg
On the way back to home I was lucky enough to capture the following scenes. Motorcycle racing on the streets of Bangkok is popular and lucrative for some.

His partner in crime.

And naturally the boss oversees the operation.

Until next time that is my adventure for today. Now what do you have to show for your day's work?
