They paved Paradise and put up a parking lot. Well it's the Milwaukee Mile racetrack. Just another place to wonder around and drink beer I guess.
You can see Miller park and the city in the distance. Pretty far from the lake so not quite summerfest. Fun none the less.

The weather was perfect for taking in the sights. We met up with a coworker of mine and his lovely wife. A nice way to spend an evening. Poor guy had to work today. Well they called him in with less than 24hrs notice so being greedy he agreed. Can't say I blame him. $$$$!!!

We were so busy eating and drinking I forgot to snap a pic of the dish. The smell of this place drove us here.Awsome food for a carnival.

12 usd for the curly fries with toppings , 4usd for the infamous State Fair cream puff, and beer or 16oz breezers were 6bucks but if you bought two they gave you a " coozie" I think it's called. It's that fancy cooler you slip onto the can to keep it cool. Not that I wasn't drinking them fast enough for them to get warm in the first place.
Ah yes, they're everywhere here. We met a couple from Seattle on the ferris wheel. They're thinking of moving back here. He grew up in West Allis so they said they come to the fair every year. I reminded him that come December it gets pretty cold here. He said he knows of course and will bring his wife in December to give her a taste of that Magic.Quote:
