Was out with a few friends for the lunar eclipse yesterday. Not my photos but one of my friends. He wanted a location in the City center to have the moon with a few well known buildings. Found a dark corner a little up so we could see the moon despite the high buildings.

We arrived early and it was still very light.

When the moon became visible it was already in full eclipse.

BTW I can confirm, if a small group of people looks up to the sky some more people inevitably join. About half of them german. Lots of nationalities. Must be a popular tourist spot.

We had to wait for this quite a while. At the bottom rigt the red dot is Mars. Mars is presently in opposition and very near earth, unusually bright and very red, maybe due to the present dust storm. Good luck it was in the same spot as the moon.

We had a pass of the ISS thrown in as well. A good evening all over. All pictures from the same location.

Later when I was on my way home, my friend had another stroll through the city. The moon already out of eclipse but a few shots of Moon and Mars together with a few well known buildings in the frame.

^Good for you daddy. Most folks are behind the eight ball on that one as they tend to except the fact that the bank has their balls in a vise as they put on the facade that their fine home is worth twice what they paid due to interest charged by banks.

Nice pics of the eclipse btw. Sounds like a good time.
