Nice flower pic
^Thank you, PH. I had never seen a sunflower like that before and thought it unique.
^^^Nice autumnal hues PB
Mars is in opposition so I fired up the 5 inch refractor.

The barlow lens is paying dividends and I was able to just make out tiny patches of differing shade on the surface of the pink planet.

But I could not see the southern polar ice cap as pictured here by an amateur with a 20 inch celestron

^Thanks, now that is an amazing shot of the moon. I read it is the closest to earth the moon will be until 15 years from now. That Barlow lens is something else too.
Er...that's Mars
^I'm surprised NASA let her go :(
^^That was just a typo, but anyway, you and your gang seem to pick on everything I say, but whatever. I won't be posting on here much, just way to busy. I never can post on here, you and your gang seem to attack everything I say, total loser imo. What a shame.
Just don't get me confused as being one of the gang....please.
^I meant to write Mars, as I know it was Mars, but I guess I wrote moon instead. But, whatever. Same old, on this forum for many I see.
Yeah, 2 typos.
Definitely don't mind Ol' Eddie Cheddar, no else besides PH does. I was just genuinely flabbergasted by the comment (after genuinely laughing at the sheer... I dunno, unbelieveability* of it.)
*not actually a word.
Only to get a photo on the photo thread.
The garden is going to jungle but the wildlife is happy with that.

The gf brought two of her dogs to live here earlier this year. They are brothers from the same litter, about 13 months old now.
I have never had a dog before and for whatever reason Coffee was very attached to me. I didn't realise how attached I had become to him. We took him out to a quiet area with no other dogs bright and early today so that he and his brother could run around. He was a bundle of happy energy.
Later this morning he was run over. Fortunately I didn't see it happen. It seems he joined the local dogs to chase a truck, I heard all the barking and went to check. He was lifeless on the road when I went outside.
The gf is distraught and I am not far behind her. Trying to keep myself busy.
I'd prefer no replies, I just thought it might be cathartic to write something.
RIP Coffee.
the maid left it on the bed - maybe I'll write 'yes please' and return it to the pillow

Aw RIP!
Thanks for the pm too!

I saw her upon nearer view,
A Spirit, yet a Woman too!
Her household motions light and free,
And steps of virgin liberty;
^^ Is that a shower, randomly placed in the corner of a room?
Great first pic, Looper, where was it taken?
I had a get together with my brothers last night. My older brother lives out of town and he came down. We had a huge drunkfest, played darts and drank way too much. lol

Ensuite shower so you can spectate the brightly lit ablutions through glass from the more softly lit bed area a few meters away. Somehow vaguely reminiscent of a Thai soapie goldfish bowl experience.
....Luckily the ensuite dunny has a door that can be closed - so you don't have to sheepishly avoid eye contact while backing out a nasty-boy in the morning.
:)
Yes indeed Mount Tamborine.
Windy day so little ephemeral clouds were quickly forming and dissolving on the fly as the mountain lifted the humid ocean air up and over the crest to the leeward westerly inland side of the range where the sun was setting.
Who is the innocent party being protected by pixellation MM - you or one of the brothers?
The wife prefers to stay away from the crowds...

I get to make the shelter and boil the kettle while they went picking mushrooms, and once again we had the whole forest to ourselves.

Winter is good for picking trumpet chanterelle and it's difficult to confuse with anything else.
