My local when i worked there was the Patan Durbar Square, the surrounding streets are great to walk around and you get a real sense of daily life, the Tihar festival is stunning to walk around with chalk paintings outside houses and butter candles. There is great silver shop that makes silver statues in the patan durbar and they had a stunning ganesh which back then was £400 but its was about 2 foot high - always regretted not buying it.Quote:
