^ Apparently not. Where you headed that required a trip down such a "road"?
$10 says his aboriginal bit on the side.
^^^thanks BFF Luigi for the repost. :) Here's another one... Rice terraces at the foot of Mt Napulauan, Ifugao Province, Feb 17, 2019. My first 7/9 mountain, and hiked with a full pack!

Well done Katie, you'll soon be match fit for Nepal...got to be on your list. Some of the Valleys in Eastern Nepal take a day to cross, that can be a bit soul destroying when you are crossing but you get a real sense of achievement. What have you got in the pack?, looks like you are smuggling a sloth. :)
...^^*cough*...
^thanks for the repost, TC! :)
@toot - Lol abt the sloth. I carried a small black garbage bag, containing trash/rubbish, as we were supposed to take our trash down with us.
As for my backpack, it contained clothes, toiletries, trail food & water, a fleece jacket, sleeping essentials (light blanket + tarp). I didn't bring a tent (slept in a team mate's tent). Some of my team mates brought sleeping bags.
It was my first time to climb with a "full pack" and not just a small day pack. The weight of the pack added to the difficulty. First time to hike O/N and sleep in a tent. (My post Xmas climb, we slept in a school). My legs still ache until now - it's painful to descend stairs!
I'll update my hiking thread when I've got more time - took lots of pics.

Nice set off pearly whites, obviously had them knocked out and some new ones put in, carn't of been cheap.
The Gent could live his life of luxury for the rest of his days with that money.:cmn:
^^^^A concrete path is gay-arse katie. That is not proper hiking! and why are you wearing gloves in the phils?

Took this one yesterday as I was surveying the possibility of ice fishing. I got the itch as I haven't got out much this winter.
Fish, looks like you have lots of free range food close to home.
^cloven hoof.

@loopy dahlink - I wear gloves bcos they're part of my PPE during hiking, as I don't like getting splinters. :p
OK, here are some pics of me (and some team mates). They are more of "trail" pics and I hope they're not too gay for you. :)
I'll still wait for you to visit so that I can take you to the 9/9 mountains with "knife edge" and "kiss the wall parts". ;)

Once you've walked a few jungle trails the excitement wanes, As does moorland, desert and glaciers. Taking along a dog in the woods around the M25, can add to the excitement, depending on the number of passers-byes who stop to video the action. A tin donation cup tied to a tree defers expenses.
:)
Splinters from aluminium walking sticks...
Pull the other one katie it has got jingle bells on!
Anyway what is with them walking sticks? that is double-gay-arse that is.
I did the entire Annapurna circuit in 2014 which goes up to 5400m in the snow without the aid of any sticks and with a full pack.
I did see many other young folk using sticks though which puzzled me.
My mum uses sticks but she will be 74 next month so that is not gay!
...looking forward to my trial by knife edge. Don't start poking me with your stick when I am wearing the blindfold near the edge!
