Nice. We lived in Africa in the late 50s, early 60s and later again . . . my father loved collecting all these masks, spears etc... he ended up giving them all away before he died.

For Panama Hat: Regarding your first post in Davao, a sando is not a sandal; it is Tagalog for a tank-top, or sleeveless t-shirt. Just for future reference since you travel here on occasion.

Beach info board two days ago. I was in the water for about 2 hours, disappointing lack of sharks but the waves weren't bad (took this photo between sets, which rolled in about every 10 minutes):

Ah, thanks mate . . . I was wondering why they had sandals and slippers . . . Luckily I can't really wear tank tops to work.

It's the little things in life that make me happy, Cash the dog and Crush the amp, both much louder than appearances would lead you to believe, sitting in on a cold Saturday afternoon.

My sister's wedding was a week ago (6th Feb), but I can't lift the pics that my Mum's hubby took from his file. Can I have a day or two extra to post them???

Do they have to net that off because of "boxies"? We had swarms of Portuguese man-o-war here in Florida last week, but they are all gone now. Nowhere near as scary as a box jelly.

is it there for all marine stingers - but it is not effective against Irukandji jellyfish - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia because of their small size

the nets are dragged regularly during holidays and weekends with a fine sample net to check if any irukandji are in it. Irukandji have been blamed for a number of deaths , and they are able to leap up to 25 metres out of the water
If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

I am more scared of the cranky carnivorous cassowary - when those fcukers have your scent you cannot out run them

The start of a new week, I think I'm allowed to post another (even if last one was only about 3/4 days ago posted. but one week taken.

This was this morning. Typcical flower/polystyrene arrangements that one buys to express sympthay to family of someone who has passed away.

Though now that I think about it, they also do same for weddings....
