I'm going to treat myself to something a bit (lot) better than that mate. Might be the other side of Christmas though, is the problem.

I have to be honest I was very surprised how sharp it managed to be that close. When you consider I was using it to take wide landscape shots in Cornwall the other week and now using it right down at the other end of the scale. Some dufus said phone cameras were shit the other day, I would take mine over a £100 point and and press any day of the week.

This is where I found him, strung up by his legs in a web.

Some nice detailed hairs on his body.

Should make for an interesting pic thread

I quite like the effect on the shot. Certainly made me look closer.

Got my heart set on an EOS 7D Nige. Way more camera than I actually need right now, but something I can grow in to for a long time.

WTF!! I just googled it and it's not far short of a grand, yet it's the size of a point and press

Is this some kind of hybrid camera, half DSLR half compact??

I need to take a closer look.

Found a marsh frog in the pool last week.

Then this morning I found this massive fok hanging from the deck beams above the laundry.

Carpet python (attracted by the deep shag on my chinese rug!)

He'd look much better in the dinner thread.

Nice shot. I love the purple haze the foliage gives to the back drop.

Cheers Abe. It was a difficult shot for me. 1. Getting close enough without scaring him, especially with a 6 year old in tow and 2. Shooting into the sun.

One thing I love about Britain is the right of way walks in the countryside.
A mile outside Scarborough , Yorkshire.

Combine harvester men were having a leisurely breakfast at the end of the path,
    helpful with directions !

Anyone know this butterfly species name ?
There were lots about , but they are very aware ,
so had to take the photo with the compact lumix 24 zoom .

Nah, no red admiral but a small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae).
