Six bargirls on our doorstep . . .
"popped in' on the way back from temple at 11am
hospitable folk that we are . . . they emptied my fridge of anything containing alcohol, I restocked, emptied, second trip to garage shop and restocked, ate my food, bluetoothed their music onto my laptop, got help writing emails to boyfriends the world over (watch out if it's better English than usual) including some bcc versions. Miminal tidy up then off to Prom Thep for sunset at 6pm.
Best fathers day I've ever had.
Oh come on!
The fuckwits here spend their entire life "BUYING" merit, the first thing they do when they have have five baht is "BUY A BIT OF LUCK, a bit of Tam boen, they think they can BUY their god!,,they get a harvest of rice...Tam boen, they are sick, Tam boen, They get some Lam YAI..tAm boen!
MERIT MAKING/ TAM BOEN..like what on earth is this???
Praying to paedophiles, drunks and unemployable shit, that dress up i9n saffreon robes cause they can't get a job?
Tie the dog to the tree!
Oh for fucks sake Miggins give it a rest. The guy got a card from his grand-daughter and was clearly stoked about it - do you have to turn everything into another of your poisonous rants about Thais.
As for me, I got fock all. Well except for a bit of a sleep in.
What the fuck are you ranting about!
I simply said that receiving a card from your kid means more than anything else...the chocolates the shit doesn't matter...The card is worth more than any thing else...did I spell something wrong?
I wasn't taking the piss, I was being honest, a card from your kid or grandkid (I haven't got that far yet) means more than any present!
You go and re read, and I will too! OK
I think you got me wrong!
I was trying to talk about how the older generation, the stupid old bastards, (The Grandmas and Grandpas here, believe in this spirit Jowty shit) will try and turn your jkids into a ghost fearing child, and also, I don't want my kids to grovel at my feet. that was all,
Fuck, I have been behaving myself!
I wasn't running anyone "Thai" in general, only the stupid old gits that try to breed fear into my son trying to make him believe Ghosts will kill him...that's the score here. I don't for one minute had a dig at Thais? Has Ant got a Period or something?
If I look a few posts back, before you got your panties in a mess... I think I posted
A hand written card is worth more than all the gold in this world! (even if the little bastards eat all the chocolate)
Nothing more, nothing less, so what are you yacking about!
My fathers day present was having you not posting a video of either one PP! :)Quote:

That sounds unbelievable and I would have had a word with the people responsible for organizing it, asking them why they embarrass the children like that. Quite sad really, and I agree with you that the crawling at the feet of the father thing is a complete load of BS and I would not have my children doing it.Quote:

The kids are fucked from day one..once they go to school here it is the beginning of the end!
It is like watching a fucking sea lion hopping across the floor in a nice white suit, bedecked with medals they won from corruption..it makes me puke! Oink Oink!
^ & ^^ The admin handed out an opinion slip/ questionaire and I certainly let my feelings known.
Basically I expressed my extreme disgust at having my children at my feet and if they were going to perform the same format next year my children would not be attending.
The farang bloke next to me copied my same feelings word for word on his questionaire but to be fair the rest of the ceremony was very well put together with some great entertainment from the children.
With regard to the poor kids sitting in front of empty chairs I am a soft cvnt and was almost brought to tears. Poor little buggers and my eldest daughter's best friend's (whose mother died from cancer) father didn't bother to turn up as well which made me feel so sorry for her.
Sometimes Thais get so caught up in Pomp and ceremony they forget about the real human side of what's going down.
I celebrate Father's Day on the correct and traditional day of the third Sunday in June.
What the heck is this thread doing here now, in fookin' December?
:question12:
Are things slow around here, kunts?
a plate of chips and gravy, which my son then proceeded to guzzle.:)
Hmm. What did I get...a wai and a small yellow artificial flower which I can pin to my clothes (!!) - which is nice actually, and I will keep on the bedside cabinet.....
....and then tapped for a 100 baht for Kanom. LOL.
I got an Xbox 360 for my sons birthday which was yesterday.
No idea what this Fathers day thing is about. I thought it had already been done earlier this year.
In Thailand, "Fathers Day" is celebrated on the day of the Kings Birthday - in this case 5th December.
Similarly, IIRC (!!) "Mothers Day" is celebrated on the Queens Birthday.
Not a biggie, as I recall (!!) "Mothers day" in UK and USA are on different days of the year as well.
I got a stiffy....but mummy fixed it right up before the kids woke up.
ok, I see the post you mean.
I really meant nothing by it, and hope I didnt offend.
I simply meant that the locals here will eventually "Change" your kids if you let them, I have seen it with mine. We used to play a bit of a game, like Death Race 2000 - 20 points for a Monk etc... and refer to them as Kaw Tan (Beggars) but since he has been spending more time at his retarded witch doctor believing Grandmothers, he tells me not to say things like that...thankfully he still tells me she is a stupid old bastard, so all is not lost!
Its great you get a card, as long as is "meant" and not just as some merit buying ritual!
It really pisses me off when I see the way the kids here are made to GROVEL, to me, respect is EARNED, not BOUGHT, and kids should be able to make up their own minds.
On the same subject but different, I watched an American Doco the other night, "The Devils Playground" It was all about the Amish, what a strange religion, I still cannot work out if it is good or bad... but to be honest, what I saw of their beliefs, they were much more good than bad.
It was really weird about the teenagers how they can go off and do what they please, then make the conscious decission when they are ready to come back to the church.
Anyone seen it?
