I think in the past (Jackie O for certain) lots of the First Lady's clothes have been donated by fashion designers, who want the big boost of having a First Lady wearing their rags - much like they do for movie stars on red carpet nights.

She's in New Hampshire. I grew up there. Kid's never seen a black person before. They don't grow 'em in NH.

The picture has place(d) Mrs Obama's face in a 1800 portrait of a slave with an exposed breast, and Magazine de Fuera de Serie likely knew the image was going to stir up controversy.
The editors may have had a different message in mind given the historical context of the particular painting, but that sentiment was overlooked by online viewers who found the composite offensive and racist.

It's easy to see why conservatives don't like her.

Think about it; they've been brought up on a steady diet of talk radio and TV pundits telling them all the problems in their life are somebody else's fault.

Kids are fat? It couldn't be the parents fault for not encouraging eating properly. It must be the fault of the internet or TV commercials for junk cereal and soda.

Kids turned out gay? Liberal Hollywood turned them that way with their anti-family values movies and music.

Kids can't get into college? There was only one spot left, and affirmative action made sure a black kid took it.

Your husband can't get a job? Illegal immigrants stole it.

They didn't have a problem with Nancy's drug education plans or Laura's child literacy plans because the schools were doing the bulk of the work. But Michelle's plan puts personal responsibility on conservative parents' doorsteps, and a lot of them hate that.
