Are there any Thais that you know talking about Thaksin Shinawatra being appointed as economic adviser to premier Hun Sen in Cambodia? What does you wife or family think of that.

A cursory survey of various Thai folks I know shows that in general Thaksin's move is not welcomed - even some that favored Thaksin have now rescinded their earlier support.

Interesting political move from Thaksin, albeit not surprising - he hasn't really made many smart moves since his wife left. Coincidence?

Cambodias economic future relies on China and Russia much than Thailand, but I doubt the average middle/upper class Thai would be smart enough to know that. Love the quotes though, especially the last 2.
