Do you mean a cathode ray tube or a vacuum tube?
Vacuum tube - I am told told that no one makes them anymore and only 8000 are avaiable in the world. I just can't believe that.
can find sights but only for audio tubes. Probably wont help but here are a couple.
Vacuum Tubes, Inc., Vacuum Tubes, Electron Tube, Radio Tubes, Audio Tubes, Industrial Tubes, Guitar Tubes, Capacitors, Tube Sockets, Tube Testers

tubestore - Vacuum Tube Store for NOS Tubes on Sale or at Auction
There are a couple of shops in Fortune Tower selling refurbished vacuum tube stereos and TVs. Drop by and ask them if they can sell or give you a source where they purchase their tubes.Originally Posted by chitown
There are many niche market companies still using tube technology who cater to audiophiles so tubes are being manufactured by somebody.

What do you want them for?
I think these things were known as "valves" in the uk. I can remember as a kid, our telly was always on the blink and the old man moaning about the cost of these things.
these?
Valves they are in the UK. A rare case where the Brits have it right.Originally Posted by Spin
Yeah, valves. They were replaced by FET transistors pretty much entirely in the eighties but companies like Marshall still use them for guitar amps because of a microphonic quality that they have and a pleasing second harmonic distortion they create. Hey "valve sound" man.

They have a selection of valves on offer, from the few companies that still make them, and you can download a schematic.
Perhaps the radio in Chitty's new Lada is broken.
China is full of tube manufacturers. Must be a good reason for it.
Why vaccuum tubes? Audio product?
Yes, it is a dirty, polluting process.Originally Posted by Norton
