Looking for a company that manufactures...

.....an old style television flow tube.

does anyone know if there are any companies in Thailand or worldwide that still make them or could make them for me?

I can post a pic of what I am talking about in the near future.

    Thanks in advance!!

Vacuum tube - I am told told that no one makes them anymore and only 8000 are avaiable in the world. I just can't believe that.

There are many niche market companies still using tube technology who cater to audiophiles so tubes are being manufactured by somebody.

What he does with his tube is his own business...as long as it is behind closed doors, or on pay for view websites.....leave him alone.

I think these things were known as "valves" in the uk. I can remember as a kid, our telly was always on the blink and the old man moaning about the cost of these things.

    these?

Yeah, valves. They were replaced by FET transistors pretty much entirely in the eighties but companies like Marshall still use them for guitar amps because of a microphonic quality that they have and a pleasing second harmonic distortion they create. Hey "valve sound" man.

    Try Un title page

or give them a call on 029409089

    E-mail info [[at]] sacthailand.com

They have a selection of valves on offer, from the few companies that still make them, and you can download a schematic.

Actually, I have a friend I grew up with that has a product that he has invented. A vacuum tube is one of the components.

He is thinking of making the whole thing in Thailand and shipping them to the US in containers.
